Lisa McEachern Head designer and production manager at Hillberg & Berk
Colter Wood Owner of Coda Clothing & Shoes.
This year's SFW (Friday and Saturday) focused heavily on emerging designers - 18 in total.
Eleganzia Couture Regina's Abigail Coleman's African-inspired collection is wild, colourful and fun. No shortage of wow factor in her designs. The last dress showcased in her collection took two weeks of solid sewing, she told SFW organizers.
Kazz Clothing Ashley Kasdorf of Regina creates a flattering feminine silhouette through her modern approach to European style.
Anwen Rose Regina accessory designer Pamela Waldner's gold, silver, copper, crystal, pearl and gemstone pieces combine popular trends with fantasy elements. Her models all wore pale denim shirt dresses, designed not to detract from the accessories
Jaycee Wall The Swift Current designer's collection is youthful and modern. It's fresh, but wearable.
Tia Zelinski Targeted at women 18 to 30, the Regina designer's fall-winter 2013 collection is inspired by street wear and masculine trends.
Moonstar Designs Ester Knight of Weyburn was the only children's wear designer at SFW. Her designs for adolescent girls included everything from a dress covered in hand-constructed flowers to a convertible design (which, to the chagrin of the young model, resulted in a runway wardrobe malfunction).
Mehari Clothing Besrat Mehari of Regina describes her designs as "dark and edgy." She uses unique textures and dynamic fabrics to create fashions that are a good fit on the runway, as well as on the street.
Jamilano Regina's Rosanna Jamilano Shavron's designs will appeal to young and hip business professionals. Her latest collection includes several impressive variations of the ever-popular little black dress, in addition to her colourful designs. And rather than hide zippers, hers are defined, to add an eye-catching element to her designs.
The Unified Theory Saskatoon's Sara Bayley uses natural fabrics - silk, velvet, linen, leather and fur - to create elegant silhouettes. Her fresh approach to pairing fashions will appeal to young fashionistas.
Kandis Ivy Kandis Miller of Port Coquitlam, B.C., describes her designs as "somewhere between mundane and madness." She creates retro silhouettes through her use of soft wool, deep folds, silks and bold prints.
S by Sonja Clifton Remple is targeted at mature professional women, with garments designed to be versatile, comfortable, functional and stylish.
Sara Armstrong Definite statement pieces, the Vancouver designer's outward-thinking designs are minimalistic and futuristic. She incorporates natural fabrics, recycled fabrics, screen printing and surface textiles.
Riley Lawson A personal image consultant, fashion stylist and designer, Lawson experimented with eco-dyed silk, synthetic leather, knitwear, denim, and black and grey fabrics to create simple, elegant, wearable designs.
Amaranth Designs Using myriad fabrics, Regina designer Rea Harbus constructed a collection of timeless and conservative designs.
Chicks & Girlies Regina designer Sheri Sopczak presented an impressive collection of hand-constructed, one-of-a-kind and limited-edition leather handbags, combining functionality and style.
Laurie Brown The Saskatoon designer is known for thinking outside the box. Her collection included dresses than came to life on the runway as colour gradually bled onto the fabric.
22 Fresh Designed for both the athlete and the spectator, Kip Simon's clothing with a fresh, non-traditional edge was a real crowd pleaser - especially when sported by buff male models!
Sova Design Saskatoon milliner Sherri Hrycay created not only an eclectic collection of hats, but also the fashions to set them off.
